Cinnamon Banana Protein Oatmeal Recipe

Cinnamon Banana Protein Oatmeal Recipe

If you’re like me, then you probably don’t eat enough protein/enjoy eating protein. I’m definitely a carbs kinda girl. I’m not trying to be bodybuilder status, but I know protein is important for a well-balanced diet and to keep you full between meals. As a result, I’ve tried gagging down protein smoothies, shakes, protein mixed with water and I simply can’t do it. I love sneaking protein powder into my oatmeal because it’s the only way I truly can’t taste it. Here’s my super simple and quick cinnamon banana protein oatmeal recipe that’s ready in under 10 minutes.

Cinnamon Banana Protein Oatmeal:

  • Ingredients:
    • Rolled oats – 1/2 cup
    • Water or almond milk – 1 cup
    • Protein powder of your choice – 1/2 scoop to 1 scoop – I like this one
    • Cinnamon – pinch
    • Butter – small pad
    • Sea salt – pinch
    • Bananas or fruit of choice for the topping
  • Recipe:
    • Boil 1 cup of water
    • Add in oats and stir
    • Reduce to medium heat and cook for 2-3 minutes – add butter
      • Tip: I like to leave the oatmeal a little more watery than normal since we are adding a good amount of powder in and the powder will soak up the water – you don’t want dry, clumpy oatmeal
  • Pour oatmeal into a bowl and stir in protein powder (I do 3/4 of a scoop) and cinnamon
  • Top with sea salt and fruit of your choice
